diy…….beautiful bobby pins

It’s November – time to start crafting! I love to play with my collection of vintage beads, cabochons and jewelry findings to create one of a kind fashionable accessories for holiday gift giving….

One of my favorite DIY projects is making beautiful, vintage style bobby pins like these…..

This is a quick and easy project… can whip up a bunch in an afternoon! Here’s what you’ll need:

1) A variety of cabochons and flat backed beads or buttons and bobby pins with circular bases like the ones shown below….You can find these items on eBay or Etsy.…My personal favorite shop for cabochons is MK Beads…….

2) Beacon Glass Metal and More Adhesive  …..this is the BEST glue ever….trust me! A pea sized drop will do the trick…..

And the rest is easy peasy! Just glue the cabochons onto the circular base and let cure for 24 hours. I like to package these beauties in threes in little cello bags tied with satin ribbons for my fashionista friends…..

What’s your favorite DIY project? I’d love to know!
