I am endlessly inspired by the energy of color and the decorative nature of everything I see. Located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, Carl Shurz Park is a pristine little park nestled between the East River and East End Avenue. This watercolor depicts the first blooms of Spring emerging from their Winter rest! This view features the famous “Peter Pan” sculpture which sits in a beautiful circular basin surrounded by pristine trees and tulips. The tulips don’t want to stay on the page, they want to dance! The tiny rocks embedded in the pavement seem to leap out of their slabs, the blues in the sky are ever changing. This is an energetic, lively yet whimsical print!
Now available as an 8×10 print in my Etsy shop…..see it here!
